Property tax and utility bills come from the Village once a year. Property owners are responsible for making sure their accounts are paid in full by each due date.

Ways to pay
- Online banking: add “Village of Hazelton” as a payee and use the roll or customer number on your bill.
- Cheque or money order: payable to the Village of Hazelton.
- In person: cash or Interac debit at the Village Office, 4310 Field Street.
Mailing a payment? Allow plenty of time. A postmark is not proof of the date you paid.
Penalties
Since 2021, utility bills paid after the due date have a 5% penalty. There is no longer a discount for paying early.
Unpaid property taxes have a 10% penalty after July 2. Any amount still owing on December 31 is added to next year’s taxes and starts collecting interest on January 1.
